If you are an artist wanting to showcase your talents or looking for something to do this week to support arts and culture, don’t miss the first After Hours Art Walk of 2022 on Thursday. A wide variety of artists and artwork will be there for you and the entire family to explore.
The Art Walk will be taking place on the first Thursday of each month from April through October.
Here are a few events happening Thursday in downtown Wichita Falls that you won’t want to miss.
After Hours Art Walk Featuring Tom Roberts
The Museum of North Texas History is kicking off the After Hours Art Walk Season with a special guest, sculptor Tom Roberts. His career as an artist started early, when, as a typical kid brother, he copied his older sibling’s efforts at sketching and quickly picked up a pencil. These early attempts at drawing grew. Inspired by people and the struggles of everyday life, he now pursues an accurate representation of his subject matter through realistic depictions of a working-western-outdoor lifestyle. Admiring people who put on gloves and work hard to make a living, he strives to depict this beauty.
Roberts will be at the museum from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.
