WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) – If you’ve driven by Nexus Park this week, you may have noticed the colorful picket fences are gone.

The painted picket fences were taken down on Tuesday and moved to their final destination, 9th street studios.

“It’s a little sad to see something like this go, but I’m excited because this is just the beginning for something bigger,” said a teaching artist with the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture, Erick Zambrano.

Don’t Fence Me In was a community art project that the Wichita Falls Alliance started last summer with the help of local fence businesses.
