Meagan Le Blanc, an art teacher at Dexter in Wichita Falls, has been selected as the lead artist for this project. Her primary artistic focus is painting and graphic design. She graduated from the Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Art at MSU Texas.
Alliance Teaching Artist Sierra Archer will be assisting with the mural installation.
The project is a partnership between The Alliance and Vernon College and is part of an ongoing effort to create an inviting and inspiring campus environment.
βAt Vernon College, we believe success is achieved through collaboration,β Vernon College president Dr. Dusty R. Johnston said. “We are excited to work with The Alliance and these two talented artists to transform the student lounge and inspire continued student success at Vernon College.β
The mural will be located in the Chaparral Student Lounge and highlights student achievement and the contribution of Vernon graduates to the local workforce. Work on the mural is expected to begin the first week of October.
