WICHITA FALLS – Nearly 80 books will have a new home after the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture hosted its annual Holiday Open House. It’s the Alliance’s final networking event of the year, where art and cultural nonprofits and art advocates were asked to donate books for a local reading initiative.

From Curious George to Goodnight Moon, several art and cultural organizations and art advocates donated books for all ages. The books will be donated to Reading Is Power, an initiative providing economically disadvantaged youth access to essential reading and writing strategies.
