WICHITA FALLS – The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture is launching a pop-up Holiday Artist Market, offering locally-produced, one-of-a-kind presents for the holidays.
The event will be Saturday, December 3, on the lawn of the Kell House during the annual Santa House. Eleven local artists will showcase unique hand-crafted items, including home decor, accessories, books, gifts, and more.
“Air fryers, Lego sets, jewelry, or the latest and hottest in electronics may be the biggest draws this gift-buying season, but there’s nothing quite like giving someone you love something that they’ll cherish for a lifetime,” said Chip Kouri, artist, and market organizer. “Art is a fantastic, unique gift, and buying original art supports artists and allows them to continue producing their work.”
Participating artists are members of the Alliance’s Artist Development Program, designed to give artists the tools they need to better position and promote themselves as independent entrepreneurs
“Over the last two years, these artists have developed business plans for each of their creative businesses. It’s been an opportunity build their portfolios, resources, and networks,” said Ann Arnold-Ogden, Executive Director of The Alliance. “This market is designed to showcase their artistry to give residents a convenient way to shop small and shop locally this holiday season.”
Admission to the Holiday Artist Market is free. The market will open at 11 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. The Kell House is located at 900 Bluff St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
