WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) – Area non-profits are one week away from the community coming together and helping their cause.
Texoma Gives is a special day for non-profit organizations. Some of them use the money to help fund projects they are working on and some even use it to help with their summer programs.
This is the third annual event and is organized by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation. It is a day where you can go and find the non-profit organization whose mission is something you like and give to them. Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture Project Manager Audra Lambert, says this day is important.
“It is important that all of the non-profits geared towards the arts have donations because they give so much back to the community. You know even just having an enrichment in the community can bring a lot to the economy,” Lambert said.
