As we approach the annual Day of Giving in Wichita Falls, Texoma Gives, The Alliance is highlighting local artists who have been instrumental in transforming communities in and around Wichita Falls through arts and creativity.

Teaching and visual artist Daniel Juarez is passionate about Wichita Falls – and the electric creativity he’s discovered here. After working in advertising for over 25 years in the metroplex, Daniel decided it was time to say goodbye to the cube farm and return to his first love – art. His work with The Alliance began in 2019 through the Lincoln Center Education Teaching Artist Learning Lab.
In addition to his work as a teaching artist in summer arts programs, Daniel has also created logos and designed a student learning guide for Dia de Los Muertos. Now part of the 2021 Artist Development Program, Daniel is currently working to grow his creative enterprises as a visual artist and entrepreneur.
He doesn’t shy away from trying new things. In fact, he prides himself on being a lifelong “student” always wanting to learn more. Daniel specializes in large-scale, semi-abstract, acrylic on canvas portraits.

Daniel is one of the thousands of talented creatives who live and work in the Wichita Falls area. Help The Alliance continue supporting the creative sector – and artists like Daniel – by donating through Texoma Gives.
