Selena Mize is a figurative painter based in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Midwestern State University and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in May 2018.

Mize primarily works with oil paint on canvas. She loves to create with vibrant colors that highlight the beauty of her subjects. Abstract patterns in the background relate to the subject in the foreground. By choosing specific colors and shapes, Mize is able to create works that capture the true essence of her subject’s personality.

Since graduation, she has created commissioned work for 9th Street Studios, Ramble and Company, Half Pint, Hook and Ladder, Smith’s Gardentown, Wichita Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra, and The Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas. Mize has also been involved in several mural projects with the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture.
