Lucy Park Sound Garden

Make some noise!! The Wichita Falls Symphony and the Wichita Falls Arts Council have installed a music playground, or sound garden, in Lucy Park at the pavilion and playground past the swimming pool. Discover and explore music together outside!

River Bend Nature Center

Just outside the gates of Lucy Park – stop in River Bend Nature Center. It’s a twenty-acre environmental education facility that connects people to the natural environment. Check out native plants and animals in the Nature Conservatory. See if you can spot birds along the trails. Take a walk down the winding path to the Children’s Garden. You can even dig for dinosaur bones!

Sculpture Garden at the Kemp Center for the Arts

The Sculpture Garden is ready for you to explore. Located on the grounds of the Kemp Center for the Arts, the garden contains 11 permanent works and showcases 10 new pieces each year. After you’ve explored the artwork outside, head inside to check out the gallery exhibits, including the Mystery Art Exhibit created by local and regional artists!

Wichita Falls Regional Airport

Have an aviation enthusiast? Travel back in time at the Jenny 2 Jet Exhibit located in the Wichita Falls Regional Airport. The exhibit commemorates Call Field and Sheppard Air Force Base; the main attractions are the planes! You can also see artwork from MSU Texas students and installations from the Arts Council Wichita Falls. The airport is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
