The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture welcomed Lincoln Center Education (LCE) to MSU for Teaching Artist Development Lab in 2018, 2019, and virtually in 2020. A three-member team from Lincoln Center Education led the Teaching Artist Development Lab.

Jean E Taylor, master teaching artist and LCE’s Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction oversaw the LCE team. Eric Booth, known as “the father of the teaching artist profession,” was a guest workshop leader.

During the Lab, LCE provided professional development training for teaching artists at all stages of their careers. Participants were able to explore Arts and Culture in Wichita Falls and experience Ranch Night.

The Lab included experiential workshops in LCE’s inquiry-based approach to arts education, guidelines for effective planning, and strategies for responsive facilitation. Wichita Falls will also present live performances, compelling keynote presentations, and plenary discussions led by international leaders in the field.
