The Burkburnett Chamber of Commerce and Burkburnett ISD are collaborating with the Wichita Falls Alliance of Arts & Culture for a mural painted with support from the community.
Burkburnett High School student Caden Jodzco designed the mural, which features bright colors. “It’s nice to have a broad spectrum of neon colors that stand out, representing an idea for Burkburnett that there is much hope and creativity,” Caden says of the mural.
WFAAC Art in Public Places Project Manager Ferdine LeBlanc took Caden’s design and turned it into a large-scale paint-by-number project. The Burkburnett Chamber of Commerce invited community members to help paint the mural at the 2023 Friendship Festival in Burkburnett.
Once complete, the mural will installed in Downtown Burkburnett at the intersection of N Avenue C and E Third Street. A mural dedication ceremony will held in November.
