Donna Howell-Sickles, a nationally recognized Western artist based in Saint Jo, is the inspiration behind a new spring fashion collection. Cowgirl Rising is a collaboration with Texas brand Double D Ranch that debuted this week at a special event in Fort Worth.

Donna and her husband, John, founded Davis & Blevins Gallery, located in a historic building on the square in Saint Jo. Donna has spent more than four decades shaping the image of the cowgirl in Western art. Her work has been featured in major exhibitions, collections, and publications nationwide. In 2007, she was inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame. Her paintings are included in the permanent collections of museums across the country.
