At the 2016 Annual Convention and Public Art Preconference in Boston, the Public Art Network (PAN) Council announced the release of a set of best practices for public art projects. The project, led by PAN Council Chair Sarah Conley Odenkirk, is the culmunation of five years of information gathering, listening sessions, and coordination to develop a series of statements which highlight procedures utlized by many leaders in the public art field. Best Practices for Public Art Projects outlines professional methods for administrators and artists, as well as guidelines for drafting and executing public art policy. This project is a building block for future work that Americans for the Arts, PAN and the Council will use to develop addtional tools and resources as a means to assist those making public art happen in their communities.

Lynch, and presentation materials to assist public art professionals in introducing these practices to their communities.
