"Kell House Museum bridges the past, present and future by providing a window into Wichita Falls' past."
The Kell House Museum was founded in 1980 by the Wichita County Heritage Society. It tells the story of Wichita Falls through the eyes of the Kell family. Several of its programs have become local history and tradition in their own right, as scores of school children are welcomed for Santa House every year, and the Most Patriotic 4th of July Parade & Celebration is a community mainstay.
PLEASE NOTE: The Kell House is currently closed for regular tours but continues to host seasonal programs on-site and works with partners within the Regional Museum Network for off-site programs. As rehabilitation work on the Kell House site is slated to begin in 2021, operations will continue to be affected. Check-in with us before stopping by!

“I love historical houses, especially when the docents are eager to impart wonderful information about the house and its owners. The Kell House is a beautiful place to visit.”
