The mural celebrates 60 years of German Air Force training at Sheppard Air Force Base and honors the long-standing relationship between Wichita Falls, Sheppard Air Force Base, and the German Air Force.

Created by North Texas artist Lindsey Jenkins, the mural features aviation-inspired imagery and references to the shared history of the German Air Force Pilot Training Program, Sheppard Air Force Base, and Wichita Falls Regional Airport.

This public art project was commissioned by the City of Wichita Falls and managed by the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture.
