Stage 2 Dinner Theatre
Presented in the style of a 19th-century melodrama, this rare combination of music and nonsense leaves the audience asking for more. All of the well-remembered scenes from the classic melodrama are intact: Little Mary as she pleads with her fallen father in the bar, the evils of alcohol claiming the owner of the saloon, Little Mary’s death scene, and the regeneration of drunkard Joe Morgan. New suspense is added as Goldie Hills, a saloon singer with a heart of gold, is tied to a mooring post by villainous Harvey Green and sings “I Am More to Be Pitied Than Censured” as the water rises. In keeping with the period, olio numbers are suggested to be performed between scenes. Chorus songs and dances are worked into the plot with over twenty numbers in all suggested. To be authentic, the scenery is all painted on backdrops and the production problems are minimal.

Menu details coming soon!

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a delightful show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun.
Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course… sharing snacks.
Filled with all of their favorite characters, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a favorite for children to perform. There is ample opportunity for adding a large ensemble and filling your stage with as many creatures of the Hundred Acre Wood as possible.

Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

The Museum of North Texas History is excited to announce that Legends of North Texas Event honoring Eddie Hill, retired American drag racer, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The event will take place at 11:30 AM at the Forum, 2120 Speedway Avenue, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.
Mr. Hill has won numerous championships on both land and water. Eddie is still the only racer to have been the yearly championship winner and fastest, quickest, drag racer on both land and water; and to concurrently hold speed records in both venues. He has won trophies and races in nine decades from the 1940s to 2020.
“We are excited to honor Eddie Hill as the 2022 Legend of North Texas. Not only has he contributed to the racing world, but he is also a fixture in Wichita Falls with his business, Eddie Hill’s Fun Cycles”, says Museum Executive Director, Madeleine Calcote-Garcia.
Tickets will be available in August.
About the Museum of North Texas History:
The Museum was founded by a group of individuals who thought that the history of North Texas should be saved and exhibited so that the community could engage with it. In 2001, the Museum opened at 720 Indiana Avenue in downtown Wichita Falls. As the only general history museum in Wichita Falls, our organization fills a need in the community. We want the people of North Texas to visit the museum and see a story that resonates with them.
Our mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and interpret the history of the North Texas Area and to inspire an interest in the past for the education and enrichment of people of all ages.
We aim to provide a fun and entertaining experience in history for children and adults.
For more information, contact the Museum of North Texas History at director@museumofnorthtexashistory.org or by calling 940-322-7628 x 101.
