The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra Jazz Ensemble will be part of a collaborative project with
Con Potencia and Zavala International Dance. The event will be held at Travis Park, 806 Travis
Street, on October 4, 2024 at 7:00pm.
This concert is the result of a shared vision between Con Potencia, the WFSO, and Zavala to
honor and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, bringing an appreciation of Hispanic culture to the
forefront through an unforgettable fusion of sound and expression.
The WFSO Jazz Ensemble will perform a diverse range of styles, including iconic rhythms of Los
Ángeles Azules, tributes to Selena, alongside Mariachi and Latin Jazz music. Adding to the
experience, the Zavala International Dance will showcase stunning choreography that highlights
the rich traditions of Mariachi music.
WFSO Executive Director Alicia Deges says, “This event is more than a concert, – it’s a
celebration of Hispanic heritage, community and the powerful connection between music and
dance.”
Tickets are $20, and can be purchased at the door or in advance through the WFSO website at
www.wfso.org.
