The North Texas Area United Way (NTAUW) is offering a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their talent and support the local community.
The United Way Ornament Project seeks to commission a visual artist, illustrator, or graphic designer to create a new work of art that will be printed on a holiday ornament. The limited edition ornaments will be sold to the public as part of a new North Texas Area United Way fundraiser.
***Please note: this application asks for artist portfolios or examples of previous work – not a design for the project.***
The selected artist will receive an artist fee of $600, which includes an initial payment of $100 for preliminary concept development. The remaining $500 will cover all-inclusive artist services related to the final design. To ensure local involvement, preference will be given to artists who reside within the NTAUW’s 11-county service area: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Foard, Hardeman Jack, Montague, Throckmorton, Wilbarger, Wichita, and Wise.
The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture will serve as the project manager. The final design must fit within a 4″ X 4″ area to be printed on the ornament.
The application submission deadline is August 4, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.
