The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture and the City of Wichita Falls are pleased to announce that acclaimed public artist Jeremy Jarvis has been selected to create a mural at Bridwell Park. The large-scale artwork will span the newly installed futsal courts and serve as the centerpiece of a broader beautification initiative.

The mural was commissioned following a national call for artists. Jarvis was selected by a panel of arts professionals, neighborhood representatives, and city staff convened by The Alliance.

Jarvis brings national recognition and experience to the project. He was the artist behind a mural commissioned by Disney for Finding Harmony, a national television special featuring John Legend. His murals can be found in communities across the United States.

Jeremy’s work is grounded in the communities where he works,” said Ann Arnold-Ogden, Executive Director of the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture. “His mural at Bridwell Park will reflect the heart of this neighborhood—the heart of our city.”

The mural, anticipated to be installed by June 2025, is funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) program. These federal funds are designed to help cities improve the quality of life in qualifying neighborhoods. The goal is to create safer, more vibrant, and more livable communities.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Jarvis, a Southeast Michigan native, pursued his passion for art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and earned his B.F.A. in Fine Art from the Columbus College of Art and Design. Based in Columbus, Ohio, where he lives with his wife and four children, Jarvis creates art nationwide through Jarvis Art Studio.

His work has been featured in galleries and museums across the U.S. and internationally, including the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York, the Springfield Art Museum in Missouri, and the Art Leaders Gallery in Michigan.
