We’re excited to have Izk Davies join us for the June 11th Town Hall meeting. Davies is a multidisciplinary artist born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and raised in Dallas, Texas. He comes from a family of artists and creatives that helped foster his talents as an illustrator, designer, painter, muralist, and performer.
His works have contributed to both corporate and non profit sectors. IZK was the first artist to teach ‘street art’ at the Dallas Museum of Art as well as Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. As an active member of his community he has contributed to many neighborhood revitalization projects and the City of Dallas Cultural Affairs Commission Public Art Program.
Davies recently created the DALLAS ARMY OF ARTISTS, a group of visual artists currently creating murals throughout the City of Dallas. The goal is to contribute to the city in a positive way during uncertain times.
