The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture in collaboration with The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri presents FREE FAMILY DAY at the The Museum of North Texas History on February 22, 2020.

Our Family Days are designed to celebrate the creative potential in all of us and offer opportunities for kids and their caregivers to create and connect with one another. Each program is unique, fun, and free – emphasizing history, imagination, and hands-on creativity.

Family Day visits begin with a tour led by volunteer community docents. The discussion highlights key issues and ideas about the exhibition, Negro Leagues Beisbol. Guest artists from the local community and DFW will share innovative projects they’ve created just for this exhibition. These guest artist projects help tap into the themes of the exhibit – sportsmanship, team play, and storytelling.

Following the tour of the exhibition, families can engage in art making at three activity stations. Of course – what’s a trip to a ball park with peanuts, popcorn, and crackerjacks?! The first 25 children in the door will receive a free baseball!
