The Artist Development Program continues our tradition of giving artists the tools they need to improve their artistic practice. In 2016, The Alliance established its Teaching Artists Learning Lab – which established a roster of artists prepared to provide creative programs for children across our service area. The Artist Development Program, established in 2021, helps individual artists to use their creative skills as a way to increase their earned income and develop their skills as artist entrepreneurs.
Participants in the program:
- Develop and grow their network of area artists;
- Engage in activities designed to prepare them to make their work visible to new markets;
- Deepen their understanding of the financial and legal aspects of the business of art.
