ABOUT

The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture is excited to announce the inaugural ACE (Arts and Cultural Empowerment) Awards to recognize and honor those artists, art leaders, businesses, organizations, and individuals who have displayed consistent and exemplary support of the arts and culture in Wichita County. These awards focus attention on the importance of the arts as they relate to the quality of life in this area and honor those who have made major creative achievements or significant contributions to cultural growth or development. 

DEADLINE 

Nominations for the 2022 ACE Awards will be online only at The Alliance’s website at wichitafallsarts.org. Nominations will open Friday, May 27 at 9 am and will close Friday, August 26. No nomination will be accepted after the deadline. 

ELIGIBILITY  

Any individual, business, organization, or institution in Wichita County actively involved in arts and cultural activities at the time of nomination is eligible. Posthumous nominations are ineligible. Nominators are allowed to submit nominations in more than one category.

2022 ACE Awards Nominations

An award presented to an educator for their exemplary work in guiding the next generation of artists in our region and nurturing lifelong supporters of the arts.
Provide a statement describing (in 500 characters or less) on what merit you are nominating this person, group, or organization. In order for the committee to choose the most qualified recipient, please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
An award presented to businesses for their leadership, commitment, and vision in developing exemplary alliances with arts and culture organizations. The award recognizes a business for creating or supporting outstanding initiatives with arts and culture organizations within the past two years. This support may come in the form of time, participation, or in kind or financial contribution.
Provide a statement describing (in 500 characters or less) on what merit you are nominating this person, group, or organization. In order for the committee to choose the most qualified recipient, please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
An award presented to a for-profit business or visual artist that produces and distributes cultural goods and services that generate jobs, revenue, and quality of life.
Provide a statement describing (in 500 characters or less) on what merit you are nominating this person, group, or organization. In order for the committee to choose the most qualified recipient, please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
An award presented to a working artist in Wichita County who elevates arts and culture through outstanding vision, leadership, and creativity. All disciplines and levels of experience are eligible.
Provide a statement describing (in 500 characters or less) on what merit you are nominating this person, group, or organization. In order for the committee to choose the most qualified recipient, please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
An award presented to an arts and/or cultural organization in Wichita County that has made a tangible impact on the region’s residents, tourists, youth, and businesses through innovative programs, exemplary community engagement, and a creative vision.
Provide a statement describing (in 500 characters or less) on what merit you are nominating this person, group, or organization. In order for the committee to choose the most qualified recipient, please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
An award presented to an institution or individual for significant advancement of inclusion in the arts in program design and operational practices. Nominees should present relevant practices of intentional engagement to include, respect, embrace, and/or enhance participation for people of all ages, cultures, ethnicities, religions/faiths, genders, differing abilities, sexual orientations, and/or other underrepresented sociocultural identities.

An award presented to an individual or group who has inspired and encouraged arts and culture in Wichita County in a creative or innovative way. The award, honoring and granted by Margie J. Reese, recognizes collaboration in the arts, elevating arts and culture through visionary leadership, creativity, advocacy, and volunteerism, or inspiring and encouraging artists and arts groups in the areas of innovation, inclusiveness, and access.

Please include as much detail as possible, including (if applicable) community involvement, experience in their field, volunteerism, background, education, community impact/enhancement, examples of programs or projects produced, contributions to the arts, and so forth.
