Arts Instruction for Children

One World Gallery – Summer Arts Camps for Kids
Facilitated by Members of The Teaching Artists Learning Lab

Welcome to the start of Summer 2019! Thanks for being a part of a very important journey to provide arts programs for kids in our community.

The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture proposes to continue and expand programs that offer arts learning for kids in neighborhoods and locations where the arts are not accessible.  2019 will represent the fourth year of providing Arts Camps.  These camps began summer of 2016 and have grown from a four-week pilot series serving 150 participants to a year-round, out-of-school time arts instruction initiative.

Having the benefit of three-years of evaluations and data assessment, the next phase of growing this initiative means expanding our footprint to include 3 camps in Vernon, TX and the Wichita Falls Public Library. We are proud to add the sites to broaden our reach and provide more arts for more kids.

The art camps, which we refer to as “The One World Gallery,” go beyond the face-painting and craft-making activities. The One World Gallery Art Camps include workshops in the visual and performing arts.
